Up for auction - Peru- Scott 20 Lima Principal Cancel (E54). This stamp was used primarily for postage in the city of Lima. Scott notes that counterfeits are plentiful, which I am sure is the case. I have several canceled copies, all of which have various types of Lima cancels. I communicated with the leading expert on cancels from this era and he indicated that he was aware of legitimate copies of this stamp with the Lima cancels that I have. Based on that, I believe that this to be an authentic cancel. The Scott catalog value for canceled copies of this stamp is 5.
